From Timor, Juan Sebastián Elcano and his crew set sail for Cape Verde.

After 5,900 miles, they waited south of the Cape of Storms, now called “Good Hope” at palo seco, for several days, waiting for favorable winds to continue on to Cape Verde.

We’ll stop at the Cape of Good Hope and take the opportunity to visit this beautiful area.

We will hold an event on site.

STEP 15. CAPE OF GOOD HOPE – CAPE VERDE

We will sail through the center of the South Atlantic, perhaps we will arrive on the island of St. Helena, where Napoleon was imprisoned.

We will narrate the anniversaries of Juan Sebastián Elcano’s voyage, when they began to suffer from scurvy, hunger and other hardships since they came directly from Timor, which is why they decided to take a risk and land in Cape Verde despite being Portuguese territory.

We will hold a meeting on site.

STEP 16. CAPE VERDE – AZORES – SANLÚCAR DE BARRAMEDA

Although the expedition of the Nao Victoria circled the island of Flores, and arrived at the
Directly to Sanlúcar de Barrameda, we will head to the island of Flores, one of the most beautiful in the world.

Then we will arrive on the island of Faial where we will pay tribute in Peter’s bar and paint a commemorative mural in the port of Horta.

We will continue sailing towards Sanlúcar de Barrameda where the end of the trip will take place.
