We will pass through some atolls in Micronesia. We’ll try to pass by the Puka Puka Atoll, the “island of sharks”, where Elcano and Magellan are believed to have been.
On this journey we will be able to relive the feeling of loneliness and immensity since it took them 3 months to cross the South Sea, which today we call the Pacific.

STAGE 12. GUAM ISLAND – PHILIPPINE ARCHIPELAGO

We will sail into the Philippine Sea, passing through the Mariana Trenches, the deepest on the planet!
We will continue to the “San Lazaro Islands”, today called Samar.

STAGE 13. PHILIPPINES ARCHIPELAGO – TIMOR

Philippine Archipelago / Limasawa / Cebu / Mactan Island / Bohol / Palaquan / Borneo / Sanguir / Tidore / Buru / Mallua / Timor.
We will get to know the islands and the routes they took to find the spices, we will relive what happened in Mactan (Magellan’s death). We will remember the betrayal of his successor Duarte Barbosa in Cebu, and how they reorganized until they reached Timor.
This is one of the most interesting areas of the expedition.
