Pedro Jimenez
Pedro Jimenez, with more than 150,000 miles sailed,
After working from Sunday to Sunday, from sunrise to sunset for the last 25 years, in 2019 I began a change of life: the sailboat became my home and my goal was to make trips and crossings sailing the world.
I know the Mediterranean and the Caribbean well, I have crossed the Atlantic seven times to discover Brazilian, Argentine and Uruguayan coasts. I have made 3 Antarctic crossings. I made double crossing of the Pacific arriving at the Marquesas and Bora Bora, ending the crossing in Valdivia, Chile. What will be the next destination? Where the wind takes me…
My first navigation with Pedro was to cross the Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to Brazil and later, to make the crossing from Ushuaia to Valparaíso through the fuegian channels. and live the time with more uncertainty of the pandemic embarked.
I will continue to go regularly to see him and sail with him whenever I can."
One gets seasick and begins to enjoy. With a triumphal entry to Guanabara Bay. All this is what I came to look for, add experience and make a longer journey than usual. Many thanks to the Copernicus Doblon, a boat in which I felt very comfortable and safe. Thank you very much Pedro, a Great Captain, very knowledgeable about the art of sailing and his boat and a host as I rarely met, opening his house to us and making us feel like our own.
I shared the journey from Salvador de Bahia to Rio de Janeiro, in March-April 2019 with Pedro and four other argentos, great group, we had a great time, today friends despite the distance.
Pedro besides being a great captain, is a wonderful host. A crazy cute, very lovable.
That trip was a before and after for me.
In a few words I can not tell you the incredible adventure that passes crossing the Atlantic from West to East
We set sail from Havana with a tropical storm by our stern that made us fly and travel 245 miles in 24 hours, imagine my first day of navigation in the Copernicus Doblon yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah
34 days of navigation with four stages...
I participated in the crossing of the Atlantic 2019, by the wonderful Copernicus Doubloon. A dream come true with an unbeatable crew. An experience full of great memories and many learnings, which I would undoubtedly repeat. Very fortunate to be part of the great project of Copernicus Doubloon. Much joy for tod@s!
Congratulations and thank you!!!
Congratulations to our captain Pedro for a job well done, for the effort he makes to surprise us.
Thank you for your initiative and courage that has allowed us to enjoy these magical and wonderful landscapes.
We have sailed through unimaginable places. It is difficult to describe the emotion and the amount of exceptional sensations that this experience provokes in first person.
We sail to Antarctica, Snowdrifts and more amazing places on our 80 foot sailboat
