These albatrosses breed on islands and carry out long migrations in search of food. In addition to albatrosses, other important birds on the island include cormorants, petrels, gulls and skuas.

In the Falkland Islands you can also see sea lions, specifically, the fur seal and the Antarctic sea lion. It is common to see these species resting on the beaches or rocks of the Falkland Islands.

As for its flora, one of the most emblematic plants of the Falkland Islands is the Tussac. It is a grassy plant that is very important to several species of birds and also provides protection against coastal erosion.

In addition to the Tussac, there are also a large number of ferns and mosses in the Falkland Islands. These varieties are found in swampy areas forming green carpets.
